Experience Hanal Pixan Mayan day of the deaths tradition in Mexico is a celebration to remember family members and friends who have passed away. It honours the lives and existence of loved ones, as well as ancestors who have left us a cultural legacy through generations.
Flowers, candles, as well as stews and drinks adorn the altars of homes to celebrate the arrival of those who come from beyond to visit those of us who still belong to this plane.
Get ready to live the authentic experience deep in the jungle in a Mayan community, where we are allowed access to be part of the tradition during these days.
We will participate in the preparation of the traditional Piib for the offering, as well as the preparation of the altar and the welcome ceremony for the ‘pixanes’.
